Costa Rica

Flying solo in Santa Barbara

Ah! I visited Santa Barbara a few days ago as my first solo trip! I felt really cool walking down the streets, using my fantab Spanish skills. 😉 I have two family members that live here and they were both so excited when I said that I wanted to see the city. They told me that it was a super cute city and a must see. I have to say that they were right about the cute part. I also agree that Costa Ricans really are very proud of their country and their cities.

There is supposed to be a fish market in the city and looked for it, but unfortunately didn’t get to see it, but I did meet some missionaries who were kind enough to try to help me. I love talking to fellow adventurers because you learn a lot and get to swap stories for a few minutes. I left them and everything began to go down hill because I had a hard time following the directions. I felt like that YouTube video Gringo Pinto or maybe that there is a magical block like platform 9 3/4 that only Costa Ricans can find. Nevertheless, I had fun and made a short vid for you guys. 🙂

¡Pura Vida from Costa Rica!

Hi, everyone! I'm a 20-year-old senior majoring in Sociology and minoring in Psychology and Spanish. I'm originally from Puyallup, WA, but I've lived in six states since then with my six brothers and sisters. Visiting Costa Rica will be my first time leaving the country, but I hope it will be a precursor for future traveling adventures!
