Life after the typhoon

I just wanted to write a quick post about the typhoon. For those of you  who don’t know a typhoon is the same thing as a hurricane in the states. It’s  called different things in different parts of the world. Education At It’s Finest

While in Taiwan, I have noticed that some things are universal while others or not. Education definitely is. However the process is different in Taiwan. At China Medical University they have classes from early in the morning to very late at night. They also have a school bell to begin and dismiss class, like a high school in America. Knowledge is so important to the Taiwanese culture. Taiwan here I come

Today/tonight (depending on how you look at it) is the day/night! I cannot believe it has finally arrived…I am both nervous and excited.  Let’s go with apprehensive. Not knowing what to expect is providing me with the same sense of thrill I get from a roller coaster. Packing for over two weeks in a different country was a real experience on it’s own…but two suitcases and one carry-on later I had accomplished it. Since I have only flown once before (for ~30 minutes), flying internationally will definitely be an experience.
