We’ve had a few half days here and there where we have requested books and started our research and planning, but TODAY was our first full day at The British Library. I touched and read books and manuscripts that were hundreds of years old, and really made progress on my project. You know those libraries people storm frantically into in movies, trying to save someone or run from the bad guys? Well, I was expecting someone to run in shouting because that is exactly what the reading rooms are like.<\/p>\n

The British Library, our second home<\/p><\/div>\n

The past few days have been just as busy as the first. A group went to Stonehenge to see what has been affectionately called “a big pile of rocks.” Another group went to Oxford, and all of us went on “the parks walk” yesterday. On the parks walk we visited Primrose Hill, where you can see all of England spread out before you, Regents Park, the park at Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, and The Queen’s gardens. Kensington Palace is where the new royal baby will live! That was very exciting to see. All the parks were beautiful, but we were all amazed with The Queen’s gardens. There were so many different types of roses you couldn’t count them all. It was absolutely gorgeous.<\/p>\n
