Preparing\u00a0to travel is one of my biggest fears, other than the creepy porcelain dolls my sister used to collect. My best work is done through the\u00a0art and\u00a0stress of procrastination,\u00a0and\u00a0this suitcase will be no\u00a0different. I am\u00a0arguably\u00a0the best at packing too many clothes,\u00a0most of which are not\u00a0suitablefor where I am going. This lack of wardrobe prep bothers me little, though,\u00a0because I am excited about the places I am about to see in Peru, and the foods and cultures I get to\u00a0experience.<\/p>\n

When I turned 18 and moved away from home, I made a 20 point bucket list. So far,\u00a0I have completed the first five things\u00a0I must\u00a0do before I die,\u00a0and\u00a0one more will be accomplished this month. I\u00a0first\u00a0saw the village and mountains of the abandoned\u00a0city of Machu Picchu when I was 12 in a history book and thought it was a manufactured design from a team at Disney. I am fearful\u00a0forwhatever little clay nick-nack I will buy the day I see Machu Picchu, because I\u00a0guarantee it\u00a0will be dropped in excitement.<\/p>\n
