I’m somewhat of a procrastinator. That was proven true when I finally decided to start packing around 9:30 last night! I finished around 12:30 this morning and I think I have everything. I definitely felt more prepared to pack for an adventure abroad after my trip to Senegal.<\/p>\n

There are a few things that I have found are necessities no matter where I travel:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. My Bible and journal (I suggest writing any moments or experiences that you decide you never want to forget)<\/li>\n
  2. A pillow and blanket for the plane (You’ve got to be comfortable….plus long plane rides can get very cold)<\/li>\n
  3. Camera (This one is pretty obvious)<\/li>\n
  4. Nutella (This was actually developed while in Senegal. It’s a new addiction)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I’ve fit everything into a large suitcase (under 50 lbs.), a carry-on duffel bag, and a backpack.<\/p>\n

    Also, yesterday I celebrated my 20th birthday! I celebrated with a dinner of my favorite American foods and a delicious cake with my family. I’m so excited to celebrate tomorrow by traveling to Costa Rica for 3 weeks! What could be\u00a0 a greater birthday present?<\/p>\n
