So… it is almost 11:00 PM and I still have a ton to do. Is my suitcase packed? Nope. Is it close to being packed? Nope. I always do this and I always hate myself for waiting until the last minute to pack. So… I always vow to never procrastinate and then I always break that vow the very next time. I think I have perfected my procrastination system for packing. Until now. I usually have the time to get up early to finish whatever needs to be done and it works out. However, I have never had to be at the airport at 4:30 IN THE MORNING! That is just throwing all kinds of kinks in my “system.” (I should not complain, though, because I know that our fearless leader, Dr. Infanger, worked hard to book our flights at a good price… so thank you Dr. Infanger.)
Anyways, I am super excited about this trip/adventure. I have had some experience traveling to a few different countries around the world and also with studying abroad but I have never been to Peru (so I couldn’t pass it up!) I am ready to meet the people, see the sights, practice my Spanish, knock out our “scavenger hunt” assignment and eat and eat and eat- I have heard that Peru has the best food in all of South America… or was it Latin America? Regardless, I know it is going to be good. It is ALL going to be good… Well, once I get packed…

Packing was possibly the worst part for me last year. I thought we could only bring a carry on size bag so that’s what I did. I ended up rolling up all of my clothes to fit….and I’m pretty sure I wore the same pair of jeans for a week at a time. But it worked. When I got to the airport and saw everyone had bigger bags…I thought to myself…”epic fail Jessica”. It worked out for me though. Can’t wait to read more posts!
